We believe in the principle of giving back, rooted in a deep sense of gratitude, through philanthropy and volunteerism. It is a joy and a calling to find ever more creative ways to serve others both personally and professionally.

The Sparrow Pledge was created to memorialize this principle. With a desire to illuminate paths not always considered, our founders, Zach and Andrea Davis, are committed to educating others about planned giving as a meaningful and enduring way to extend their impact beyond their lifetime.

If you choose to join us and and sign The Sparrow Pledge, you affirm a personal intention to dedicate a portion of your estate to charitable purposes. Your journey begins by selecting a Commitment Level (illustrated below), which corresponds to a progressive giving scale — thoughtfully designed to adjust in step with your Estate Value, as defined in the Implementation Guide. This scale determines the percentage of your estate to be given based on its value at the time of your death. If you wish to give beyond the standard scales, a custom framework may be crafted to reflect your expanded intent. In all cases, your selected scale (whether standard or custom) should be incorporated into your estate planning documents to ensure your philanthropic intentions are fully realized.

We hope this invitation inspires you to consider the tangible legacy you can leave behind; perhaps to charitable organizations that have touched your own journey or to those working in the corners of the world that may need help the most. The Sparrow Pledge does not solicit support for any specific philanthropic entity, cause, or organization – rather, we hope this endeavor furthers your interest in supporting those that are meaningful to you.

The Sparrow Pledge is fulfilled through charitable giving: this may take the form of direct gifts to public charities or contributions made through philanthropic entities you establish, such as a private or family foundation, charitable trust, donor-advised fund, or other customized charitable vehicle created to reflect your philanthropic vision. In every case, structures and beneficiaries are defined by your wishes and formalized through your estate planning decisions. Consistent with IRS rules for charitable giving, political parties, candidates, and political organizations are excluded.

Signing The Sparrow Pledge is an optional expression of your personal generosity. All beneficiary elections, nonprofit selections, and allocation changes remain solely your responsibility and prerogative. This pledge is intended solely for educational purposes and should not be construed as financial, legal, tax, or estate advice; consulting with qualified independent counsel is strongly advised for all signers before any estate documents are executed or modified.

We are humbled and honored by all who choose to join us in this enduring expression of generosity.
